Ex1: Complete the dialogue with the words and expressions in the box.
Ex2: Complete the second sentences so that it has the same meaning as the first. Use no more than three words.
Ex3: Number the lines in the correct order.
Ex4: What would the people rather do? Write their replies.
Ex5: Read the situations. Give responses to the suggestions.
Ex6: Put the sentences (1-4) in the correct place in the dialogue.




Ex2: I give students time to read the questions before you read aloud the dialogues.
Ex3: Students work individually, completing the table. I check answers by asking pairs of them to read aloud the suggestions and replies.
Ex4: I check that students understand that 'd stands for would in I'd rather.
Ex5: Students work in pairs, acting out the situations and changing parts. I monitor but do not interrupt students' fluency. I then make a note of any general problems to go over with the class afterwards.
Ex6: Students work in pairs, making arrangements for going out to two places and agreeing where and when to meet.
