Youssef's friends lived in the

hour, Youssef stood outside his house, but very few vehicles went past. After
fifteen minutes, he saw a bicycle. After another thirty minutes, a car drove
past. Finally Youssef saw his neighbour driving a tractor.
The next day, the teacher asked
the students what they had seen. Ahmed – who lived in the town – had seen a
hundred cars, six buses and twenty lorries. The other students had seen about
the same. When the teacher asked Youssef, he didn't want to answer. Then he
said, "I saw a tractor, one car and a bicycle." All the other
students laughed, but the teacher smiled and said, "You live in the best
place, Youssef. Think of all the pollution the other students breathe every
day. Think how nice it is to live in a place with clean air."
